Riders Cup

The Riders Cup is just one class where all scores are collated to form a State Wide Pointscore.

Zone 12 will host the Riders Cup and will be held in conjunction with Lake Albert Pony Club annual Gymkhana on the 4th October 2020.

Due to Covid19 and ALL State Championships being held in 2020 have been cancelled.

PCANSW has opted to run a Riders Cup in showjumping

The PCANSW Riders Cup aims to unite all pony club riders to compete in their local areas, with all scores being collated at a State Level to create a state wide showjumping competition without the need to go outside of your zone.

Riders Cup Event Description (for competitors)

The PCANSW Riders Cup is an exciting State Wide Showjumping Challenge for members of Pony Club NSW catering for riders in E grade through to A grade. With 18 events across the state between the 3rd and 11th of October 2020, riders will have the opportunity to compete against riders from all over the State without leaving their Zone. At the conclusion of all events, scores will be collated across all Riders Cup rounds to create an overall State scoreboard. Any prizes will be posted directly to riders after the results are announced.

  • The event will be run under Article 238.2.2 and 245.3 (One round with an immediate jump off for competitors with 0 penalties) (AM7). Athletes who have completed their preliminary round without Penalties, must proceed to the jump-off immediately following their preliminary round. In this case, the bell must be rung again to signal the Athlete to start the jumpoff course during which the 45 second rule set forth in JRs Art. 203.1.2. applies. Athletes qualified for the jump-off, are not allowed to leave the arena, between their preliminary round and the jumpoff.
