Watagan Pony Club is proud to announce that our planned event (which has had to be postponed- twice- due to the world pandemic Covid 19 outbreak) has now finally been rescheduled to Sunday 30 August. This means our event can be used as a State Qualifier as intended, for the upcoming State Jumping Equitation Championships in 2020. Now, with an even bigger and better event!
Entrants may either leave their entry submitted and roll forward, or receive a full refund, less the credit card % charged by omnisports. Please contact us to request either option, to email@example.com
If we don't hear from you, we'll hold your spot for the new date. We are super happy about this, however, we need to remain vigilant! Please complete the CV Declaration Form attached and hand in on the day, maintain social distancing at all times, wash hands regularly and wear a mask if you cannot remain socially distant. Keep smiling, keep riding and keep training! Our club may endeavor to run some more Equitation small training days in groups of 3 riders in the future, so keep an eye on our Facebook Page.

Watagan Pony Club is pleased to present its Inaugural Equitation & Showjumping Championship on Sunday 30 August 2020. The event will be held at the centrally located Morisset Showground, approx 1.5 hrs North from Sydney CBD and 40 minutes South from Newcastle in NSW. Please enter the Showground via AWABA St. OFF FREEMANS DRIVE Not via OURIMBAH St. ENTRANCE to the showground- it now has a permanent CLOSED BOOM GATE.
The Championship will include 2 x Jumping Equitation Classes and 2 x Showjumping Classes in each grade (Total 4 classes). All events will be judged and scored by Qualified Show Jumping Equitation and Showjumping Judges with ribbons awarded to 5th place in each class and Championship and Reserve Ribbons Awarded to Grades for A, B, C, D, E Champions (with Prize Only awarded for Intro Grade) over the competition of all 4 events. This unique competition showcases the skills of both horse & rider over the combined disciplines of Jumping Equitation and Showjumping.
Please tick your nominated Grade for Jumping Equitation & Showjumping (JE & SJ) Class ($40.00 for 4 rounds) from Intro (F) to A Grade.
ALL RIDERS must provide a Volunteer Helper for the Day- please enter the volunteer info in the Class Selection when entering- NO Helper, No Riding!
HC Horses (for riders bringing a 2nd non- competitive horse) must enter HC Horse Jumping Equitation & Showjumping (JE & SJ) Classes (E- A Grade only) extra fee for 2nd Horse $35.00. When ticking the box, you will be charged $40 for 1st horse and $35 for 2nd horse (total $75).
HC Horses will have Equitation Score Sheets completed and SJ Classes judged, but no ribbons/ sashes will be awarded.
PCANSW State Showjumping Cards/ SJ Equitation Cards must be 2020 current and will be verified upon entering.
Get some RESULTS to enter the PCANSW State Jumping Equitation or Showjumping Championships 2020- your results will be eligible & timely. More information will be uploaded as we get closer to the event- and see also our Facebook page (Watagan Pony Club) for up to date news. Remember to check PCANSW State Jumping Equitation Qualifying Heights for the Age Groups when applying to compete at State Jumping Equitation- these classes are held in Age Groups at minimum Jump Heights, not in Grades.

NEWSBREAK- Covid 19 Update for Competitors:
There has been a few queries surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak and whether or not the Championships should go ahead. The Club Executive have discussed and investigated this. with the number of confirmed cases in the Morisset area currently standing at nil (0) and still recommends that the event still go ahead.
Just a few points
If you are not well or concerned that you have a low immune system and may be impacted by contracting the virus please consider withdrawing* from the event (and self isolate) (*Go to myponyclub events, click withdraw- all funds will be returned, less the credit card fee)
If competitors or their family have recently been to those areas where travel is now banned they should be excluded for 14 days from the community, as they would be by their workplaces. See the attached general information and Statement from PCANSW on this issue.
