Woodend Pony Club 2020 COVID19 Online Jackpot Dressage Series

PCAV Test for pony club & Open riders – Advanced to grade 6

Dates:

Round 1 Opens 1 September 2020 – Closes 25th September Results announced 30th September

Round 2 Opens 1 October 2020 – Closes 25th October Results announced 31st October

Round 3 Opens 1 November 2020 – Closes 25th November Results announced 30th November

Ribbons from 1st – 4th for each test and sash for Jackpot champion and Reserve champion

Series Jackpot Winners will be announced Sunday 6th of December 2020. Trophies, Rosettes & prize pack for each level series Champion & reserve Champion.

VENUE: Your own arena or venue (compliant with Covid-19 restrictions). Grades Adv-3 set up a 60×20 arena and Grades 4-6 set up 40×20 arena with clear markers. Ensure surface and environment are safe.

ENTRIES:

  • $25 per test. Online entries only via MyPonyClub App or website and payment is required at time of entry.
  • Entries close 8pm on Dates above – Videos to be uploaded by 8pm the following day
    HOW TO: Video your test from 1m behind C, Zoom as required making sure whole horse and arena markers are still in view. Sound is to be “ON”.
    -Go to the Woodend Pony Club Facebook page event named “Online Dressage Competition”
    Upload your video under the appropriate post/heading with the following details;
  1. Grade and the test ridden
  2. Your full name & Your horses name
  3. Make sure your post is set to public

RESULTS- Results will be posted on the Online Comp event by the end of the month.

Ribbons to 4th place awarded for each test Jackpot points go towards series Champion

*Entrants must have competed in all 3 competitions in the same grade to be eligible for series Champion. Prizes awarded for Series Champions in each section.

Conditions of entry:

  1. Entering this competition constitutes acknowledgement that PCAV rules apply and acceptance of these rules.
  2. Gear check before riding in each test of the competition is required. Correct ‘standards’ numbered helmet must be worn as specified in PCV Gear Rules. Riders accept that it is their responsibility to ensure that a competent person checks that their gear is safe and complies with PCV rules.
  3. The organising committee reserves the right to cancel the event, any class or refuse any entry without stating a reason.
  4. Neither the organising committee of this competition nor the PCAV accepts any responsibility whatsoever for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property.
  5. No refunds after closing date except with vet or medical certificate. An administration fee of $10 will be deducted.
  6. This is an unofficial event, riders’ tests will be judged by a suitably qualified professional dressage judge via video.
  7. Club uniform must be worn in PC sections. Open sections must wear compliant helmet, boots, beige/white jodhpurs and a sleeved top. Plaiting optional.
  8. If a entering the Pony Club section you must ride at your graded level.
  9. Calling of tests is allowed.
  10. If you are not a current financial member of PCAV EA, HRCAV or can prove that you are covered by public liability Insurance Policy of at least $10,000,000 then you MUST pay $15 to PCAV for a Day Waiver.  This is purchased as part of your entry in the My Pony Club app or website.  
  11. Non-pony club Participants must show proof of current membership or insurance cover by uploading a picture of membership card or insurance policy when entering.

12. Copies of tests will be sent to participants via messenger and ribbons will be posted.

13. Video Guidelines;

-Participants accept that their video will be displayed on social media.

  • Videos must be filmed from 1m behind C. Zoom as required making sure whole horse and arena markers are still in view.
  • Video footage must be clear and one continuous video. No editing, no background music. Sound must be “ON”.
  • A purpose built arena is not required; a grass area can be suitable but must be the correct arena measurements and marked out with letters. Arena dimensions and letter locations can be found on page on the Pony Club Victoria Website.

14. Both tests in each competition must be ridden to be eligible for Series Champion.
