Widgee Pony Club Gymkhana – Canteen opens 8.00am, Lunch Available from 11.30am at canteen
ON SITE FIRST AID WILL BE WORKING FROM 8.00 until 4.00 (the cost of first aid has been added into registration cost).Nine and over riders will be competing in the large centre arena. Eight and unders, will be riding in the smaller enclosed, sand equestrian arena.
8.00 – 8.45 - Clubhouse - HHD handed in, any parents who can score and take a group around please come to clubhouse to pick-up bag of ribbons, score sheets, water and timer.Please contact the club on 0406322135 if you are able to assist at the gymkhana. All riders present for gear check at front of clubhouse.
9 am MARCH PAST - March Past will enter from left side gate of centre arena and travel around the outside lane and into the arena at the opposite side gate and line up in the middle of the centre arena.
9. 30 – Riders called into age groups by CI and head to areas with scorers, beginning with best presented and Champion best presented.
11.30 – Break for lunch – organise where to meet back up with your scorer, all groups aim to finish up where they are at and take a 30 - 45 minute break, water your horse. Enter jackpot barrel race if intending to run, at the canteen, paying your $5.00 and write your name, club and age down on the clipboard. 12.15 – 12.30 – Remount, meet back up with your scorers and complete events.
12.30 – 2.00 – Complete all events.
2.30 – Jackpot Barrel race in sand arena.
3.30 – 4.00 – Presentations in front of Canteen
8 AND UNDER - BEST PRESENTED, RIDER CLASS, KEYHOLE, DRUM & PEG, LOLLY IN A BUCKET, DIAMOND FLAG.
BEST PONY CLUB MOUNT – WILL INCLUDE WALK, TROT, STRAIGHT LINE CANTER IF ABLE, BACK UP, OBJECT PICKUP/RETURN, RIDE ONE HANDED, LEAD, MOUNT/DISMOUNT, ALL THROUGH A SMALL COURSE, PATTERN WILL BE POSTED ONLINE 7TH FEBRUARY.
JUMPING – 6 JUMPS USING BOUNCE PONY SIDES BEGINNING WITH POLES ON GROUND FOR RAW BEGINNERS AND ASSISTED. FINAL HEIGHT UP TO 40CM FOR EXPERIENCED 8 AND UNDERS AS PER PCAQ RULES. IDEAL TIME.
9 AND OVER
BEST PRESENTED, RIDER CLASS, KEYHOLE, RIGHT ANGLE BOUNCE, DIAMOND FLAG, DRUM AND PEG.
ALL ROUND PONY CLUB MOUNT – WILL INCLUDE WALK, TROT, STRAIGHT LINE CANTER, HAND GALLOP (IF ABLE), BACK UP, SIDE PASS, OBJECT PICKUP/RETURN, RIDING ONE HANDED, ALL THROUGH A SMALL COURSE. PATTERN WILL BE POSTED ONLINE 7TH FEBRUARY.
The Judge will assess the all-round suitability of the horse and rider to take part in a variety of pony club activities.
JUMPING A2 – UNDER 13 IS IDEAL TIME. OVER 13 BEST TIME. LOWEST HEIGHTS AS PER PCAQ GUIDELINES WILL BE USED AS THIS IS THE FIRST GYMKHANA OF THE SEASON.
