Kootingal & District Pony Club welcomes it's members to 3 full days of riding.
Over the 3 days riders will have instruction from Guest Instructors who specialise in their discipline. Sharing their passion, passing on knowledge and promoting their chosen equestrian field. Also assisting are some of our extremely talented instructors and adult riding members who also love to share their discipline preference.
Riders will have the opportunity to participate in Showjumping with Erica Kelly, Cattle work with John Lees, Stockhorse & horsemanship with Teena Bridge, Dressage with Tania Haling. Also Cross Country, Polocrosse, Sporting, Time trial, Mechanical cow, Team sorting, bareback and the list goes on. Please assist us by getting your nominations in early. They are expected to close on the 30th of September but if numbers are reached the closing date will be brought forwards.
Kootingal & District Pony club is run by Volunteers and it is expected that all parents take an active role.
Parents & helpers are essential to the overall smooth running of thee upcoming training days. It is mandatory that a parent/carer remain on the grounds for the duration of each day.
As specialist Guest Instructors will be in attendance over the 3 days and it is important that riders are on time.
Riders are to come ready to ride. Proceed to the Marshalling area beside the clubhouse for an unmounted gear check and troop allocation.
Please adhere to physical distancing guidelines.
Gear Check will commence at 8.30am daily.
Lessons from 9am to 12 midday
Lunch break 12 to 1pm
Lessons from 1 to 4pm
Visiting members attendance is pending numbers nominated and prior approval from the Kootingal & District PC executive. The club would love to accept all pony club riders but unfortunately we must be mindful of instructor to rider radios, Pony club guidelines and NSW department of Health regulations before outside nominations can be accepted.
First Aid: As per PCA NSW Guidelines, in the event of an accident or emergency, first aid will be administered and if required an ambulance will be called. A roster of volunteers will be compiled for the three days to share the load. If you can assist please select First Aid when nominating.
All attendees will be required to complete a Coronavirus Self Declaration Form. A link will be sent to members attending prior to the event to complete online by mobile/computer and an email also for those requiring paper form (One must be completed for each person attending). Pl.
These training days, including the entire venue, is closed to outside spectators. A marshall will be appointed to the gate to turn people away if necessary. .
Please do not attend our mini-camp if you are unwell. If you become unwell while on site, you will be asked to leave.

Camping: Due to Covid-19 restrictions, these will be no camping. Riders are requested to travel each day.
If an overnight stable for the horse is required for the duration of the 3 days please nominate on the form. All horse will have an allocated stable for use during the day. Horses are the responsibility of their owners, this is to include feeding and watering. Each rider must have grooming, cleaning and water containers. Feed container if required. Riders must only attend to their own stable.
