FULL SELECTION CRITERIA - PLEASE READ 

General Criteria:

The following general criteria applies to Quiz.

  • Riders must be a current financial member of Pony Club Victoria for at least the previous two years.

  • Ages taken from 1st January 2021;

    • Sub-Junior – 11 years and over and not exceeding 13 years

    • Junior – 13 years and over and not exceeding 17 years

    • Senior – 17 years and over and not exceeding 26 years
      (Riders must be 25 years and under at the 1st January 2021)

  • All Riders 14 years and over must have attained their C Certificate

  • Senior Quiz must have attained their C Star or K

  • Riders must demonstrate an acceptable level of behaviour, citizenship and horsemastership to be verified by club/zone references

  • Riders nominating for the Olympic disciplines, are also eligible to nominate for Quiz or Ride to Time and will be individually assessed on their merits by the selection panel at the time of nominations.  Riders must however meet both disciplines criteria.

Sub Junior

11 – 12 years

  • Must have attained a minimum D* Certificate

  • Must have a minimum of 50% rally attendance

  • Applicants may be asked to take a written assessment test.

Junior

13 – 16 years

  • Must have attained a minimum C Certificate

  • Must have a minimum of 50% rally attendance

  • Applicants may be asked to take a written assessment test.

Senior

17 – 25 years

  • Must have attained a minimum C Star or K Certificate

  • Must have a minimum of 50% rally attendance

  • Applicants may be asked to take a written assessment test.
